  I thought this was a great lesson from Teachings of Harold B. Lee from 2011 to go along with this week's lesson, Matthew 5 and Luke 6. It gives great insight on the Sermon on the Mount as well as being Born Again (our discussing from last week's lesson). I particularly liked when he lays out the three essential things that are necessary to inspire us to live a Christlike life. He then goes back to show us how the Beatitudes give us the correct steps to finding "perfection" in life.  It really is a great lesson. I wish I remembered it from 2011! Hi- I really liked how this talk by President Nelson in 1995 helped answer some of my questions about "living a perfect life" like is mentioned in Matthew 5:48 (part of this week's reading assignment). And if you don't relate to the 2nd paragraph in the talk -- well, then, you're doing much better than I am! Lol!. I appreciate that he helps our understanding of perfection by classifying it into two categories. The first is mortal perfection and the second is eternal perfection. But I think the real insight for me is when he explained how the word "perfect" was translated from the Greek word, teleios - which means "complete." He then goes on to explain that it does not mean "freedom from error." Keep reading (or click on below link to go straight to lds.org) to learn more.
